It’s back! The long awaited Centenary Challenge returned in style as the 2 Nuns’ intraclub teams met for game 1 in the battle for the coveted 100 year old trophy. The Whites started strongly and after a series of attacks, forced a penalty corner. The Greens defenders denied the Whites a clear shot on goal but it the melee, veteran Pat Veasey found the back of net to give the Whites the lead.
Members of Ambleside Cricket Club and Nuneaton Hockey Club recently joined forces to try each others’ sports by staging a charity cricket and hockey match.
